Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic video display device that can inform a viewer about it when a displayed stereoscopic video image is inadequate to a stereoscopic vision. SOLUTION: The stereoscopic video display device, that displays a stereoscopic video image on a display section on the basis of a received stereoscopic video signal, is provided with a means that detects an offset between left and right video images from the received stereoscopic video signal, a means that compares the detected offset with a preset permissible value to discriminate whether or not the received video signal is adequate to a stereoscopic vision, and a means that informs a viewer of the stereoscopic image about it when the discrimination means discriminates that the received video image is not adequate to the stereoscopic vision.
