Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable contents of data stored by a little data amount to be confirmed from an electronic mail for notifying storage of the data and to easily obtain information indicating a storage place of data. SOLUTION: A method for transmitting the data comprises the steps of recognizing a character code from a character image of image data obtained by reading an original by a scanner, retrieving heading information from character code data generated in response to the character code, forming a link for relating the extracted heading information to an HTML file formed based on the image data, and transmitting an electronic mail 200 including pieces of heading information 201A to 201C relating to the HTML file to the predetermined destination.
