To improve the gas extraction performance of a condenser in a multiple-effect absorption chiller and heater.
This multiple-effect absorption chiller and heater is disposed to flow cooling water to the first path tube group of the absorber tube groups of the water chamber of an absorber 20 partitioned by partition plates to cool absorption liquid and flow the cooling water from the opposite side of the fitst path tube group to the first path tube group of the water chambers of a condenser 10 partitioned by partition plates, and reversely flow the cooling water, from the water chamber on the opposite side of the condenser into a second tube group in the water chamber. Also, the chiller and heater comprises a cooking water flow in which the cooling water from the condenser flows to the second tube group of the absorber tube groups of the water chamber in contact with the water chamber in which the cooling water flows at the beginning of the partition of the partition plates in the water chamber of the absorber to cool the absorbing liquid, and comes up to the opposite side of the tube group to complete the cooling. In addition, in the absorption chiller and heater, a gas extraction tube 32 is inserted between the heat transfer tubes 16 of the 1st path tube group of the condenser to extract noncondensable gas flowing in the condenser together with refrigerant vapor and accumulated in the condenser.
