Abstract:
The program-controlled universal milling/drilling machine tool has a horizontal sub-structure (3) as a carrier for the workpiece table (2), and a frame (1) to support the carrier system (23) for at least one spindle head. The machine frame, together with the sub-structure, forms an integrated carrier construction with shape rigidity. Two side walls (4,5), and an upper beam (8) at the leading side and a lower rear wall (6) make up the assembly. The carrier (22) for the spindle head support system is at an angle between the upper side of the rear wall and the beam.
