To enhance operability by facilitating a scroll operation for vertically or horizontally scrolling a screen display in an input device for performing an input operation of electronic equipment by using an input pen and a tablet.

The input device is provided with the input pen 3 and the tablet 4 for detecting the position and the inclination of the input pen 3 and for outputting them to a computer. The tablet 4 is constituted by forming an input area 42 for performing a normal input operation to the computer on a planar cabinet 41. A vertical scroll groove 43 and a horizontal scroll groove 44 are formed at positions distant from the input area 42 on the cabinet 41 of the tablet 4 and a scroll operation of the screen is performed by the computer by performing an operation as if tracing the vertical scroll groove 43 and the horizontal scroll groove 44 by the input pen 3.
