To provide an image forming device capable of forming an image on one side and on both sides while simultaneously circulating as many recording sheets as allowed to circulate, thus efficiently exhibiting the performance.
The image forming device is provided with a decision means to delimit image data, making the number of recording sheets that can be contained on a conveying path of a circulating type recording paper conveying mechanism as a decision unit, by each decision unit and to decides image forming side attribute information with regard to one-side image forming/double-side image forming by each delimited decision unit, and a conveyance control means to decide, referring to the decision result of the decision means, whether the one-side image formed recording paper is to pass the conveying path for one-side image forming or to pass the conveying path for double-side image forming and to control the passing status of the recording paper at the time of forming the image based on the decision result. The conveyance control means, when the decision result is in a prescribed state, allows all the one-side image formed recording paper existing in the delimited decision unit to pass the conveying path for double-side image forming.
