Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic shielding steel sheet for a color cathode ray tube having high non-histeresis permeability and capable of obtaining a display with high precision in such a manner that color slurring caused by geomagnetic drift is suppressed, and to provide its production method. SOLUTION: This magnetic shielding steel sheet for a color cathode ray tube contains, by weight, <=0.04% C and has a sheet thickness of 0.05 to 0.5 mm, and in which d/t, i.e., the ratio of the average crystal grain diameter (d) to the sheet thickness (t) is <=0.10, non-history permeability is >=7,500 or residual magnetic flux density is >=10 kG, and coercive force is <30e. Further, in the method for producing a magnetic shielding steel sheet for a color cathode ray tube, a steel slab is subjected to hot rolling and cold rolling, is subjected to recrystallization annealing in a ferrite single phase temperature region or in the temperature region of less than the Ac1 transformation point and is then subjected to skin passing at a rolling ratio of <=1.5% (inclusive of zero).
