To provide a vending machine which is compatible with several types of electronic money and provides maximum sales opportunity by allowing a user to perform flexible commodity purchasing operation thereby allowing the user to purchase desired commodity without missing the chance of purchasing the desired commodity even in the middle of the purchasing operation.
The vending machine 1 allows the user to purchase and take out the commodity selected by a commodity selection button 5 by using electronic money selected by an electronic money selection button 7, an operation for purchasing commodity is made valid even by starting a selection operation from either commodity selection by the commodity selection button 5 or electronic money selection by the electronic money selection button 7, and the user can purchase the commodity by holding a non-contact terminal 8 over a reading/writing means 9 at last.
