Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent unnecessary shift change during constant speed travel. CONSTITUTION: The travel resistance Fr of a vehicle is estimated (P41), and at the time of acceleration (Fr>=0), maximum driving force Fodmax in an ODD position is computed (P43). During the non-operation of an acceleration switch, total demand driving force Fa is made equal to travel resistance estimate value (P46), and during the operation of the acceleration switch, total demand driving force Fa is made equal to travel resistance estimate value + acceleration demand driving force (P45). Computation is then carried out with the difference between the maximum driving force Fodmax and the total demand driving force Fa as the degree of allowance. At the time of the ODD position at present, an O/D cancel flag is set when the degree of allowance is small so as to perform down-shift (P52, P53), at the time of a third position at present, the ODD cancel flag is cleared when the degree of allowance becomes large so as to perform up-shift (P54, P55).
