Abstract:
To provide a method of obtaining an iron base sintered alloy which possesses a strength equivalent to the conventional quenched material without quenching, in a manufacturing method of the iron base sintered alloy by a powder-metallurgy process.
An Fe-Ni-Mo alloy powder which has a specific mass ratio, and an Fe-Mo alloy powder which has a specific mass ratio are blended by a specific ratio, further mixed powder in which a specific amount of an Ni powder and a graphite powder are added is pressed and compacted in a die, a green compact is sintered in a non-oxidizing atmosphere and in a specific temperature range, then it is cooled at a specific cooling rate in a sintering furnace.
