Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel leak detecting device for a gaseous fuel engine for letting a driver recognize abnormality of fuel leak of gaseous fuel before driving a vehicle, and stopping the engine when leak quantity of gaseous fuel is large. SOLUTION: This device comprises a control means provided with a correction value computing part to compute a fuel temperature correction value which is changed corresponding to fuel temperature detected by a fuel temperature detecting means, a pre-stop memory part to store a pre-stop fuel residual pressure value and a pre-stop fuel temperature correction value immediately before stop of the engine in previous operation, a pre-valve opening detection part to detect a pre-valve opening fuel residual pressure value and a pre-valve opening fuel temperature correction value immediately before opening action of a main stop valve while an ignition switch is on, a post-stop passing time detection part to detect a post-stop passing time from stop of the engine till detection of fuel leak in previous operation, and a fuel leak determining part to determine fuel leak based on the pre-stop fuel residual pressure value, the pre-stop fuel temperature correction value, the pre-valve opening fuel residual pressure value, the pre-valve opening fuel temperature correction value, and the post-stop passing time.
