To reduce the torque of a cam follower by reducing the generation of friction between an end surface of a roll and the inner surface of a side wall without generating malfunction on a point of operation.
This cam follower is provided with a barrel 2 having a pair of side walls 3 and 4 opposite to each other with a space, a support shaft 5 stretched between both the side walls 3 and 4, and a roller 6 rotatably provided in the support shaft 5 through a plurality of rolls 7. Ring-like bushes 9 and 10 respectively having a diameter equal or smaller to/than that of the inner surface of the roller 6 and respectively having a cylindrical peripheral surface facing to the inner peripheral surface of the roller 6 are provided between the end surfaces of the rolls 7 and the inner surfaces of the side walls 3 and 4. Direct contact of the end surfaces of the rolls 7 with the inner surfaces of the side walls 3 and 4 is avoided by the bushes 9 and 10. A surface layer of the bushes 9 and 10 can be formed from a material containing a solid lubricant.
