To obtain an expandable styrenic resin particle which extremely reduces the amount of the styrene monomer to be dissipated from the inner part of a molded product into the outside of the molded product, is simultaneously suitably used for building materials having good strength and fusibility, particularly thin building materials such as a floor base material, and reduces the dispersion of expansion ratio among the particles on expansion molding at an expansion ratio of 3-30 times, and a styrenic resin expanded product to be obtained from the expandable styrenic resin particle.
The expandable styrenic resin particle has a particle diameter of 200-600 μm and a residual styrene content of ≤1,000 ppm and contains 2-6 pts.wt. butane as a blowing agent, and the styrenic resin expanded molded product for building materials can be obtained by pre-expanding the expandable styrenic resin particle and subjecting the pre-expanded particle to expansion molding at an expansion ratio of 3 to 30 times.
