Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared ray video image supply device having a capability of tracing a visual axis of an infrared ray sensor in a direction operated and turned by an operator and displaying an infrared ray video image of an outer field onto an infrared ray display device in front of the eyes of the operator, that can supply an infrared ray video image to the operator not causing misrecognition of the outer field and a sense of incongruity to the operator even when the operator suddenly changes the direction angle and the turning direction resulting in causing a difference of the directed and turned directions between the operator and the infrared ray sensor. SOLUTION: The infrared ray video image supply device is configured such that a directed angular velocity and a turning angular velocity of the operator are calculated by a directed angular velocity and a turning angular velocity of the operator detected by an angle detector, an infrared ray video image of the outer field is supplied to the infrared ray display device when the directied angular velocity and the turning angular velocity are respectively a prescribed angular velocity or below or a uniform video image with the same luminance as a mean luminance of the just preceding infrared ray video image is supplied to the infrared ray display device when the directed angular velocity and the turning angular velocity exceed the prescribed angular velocity.
