To acquire a tensile force detection apparatus capable of precisely detecting a tensile force acting on a belt member.
In the tensile force detection apparatus 10, when a tensile force Ft acts on a webbing belt 12, a bag-like member 18 in a sealed bag shape formed into an approximately spherical shell shape having a circular cross section is pressed, crushed, and deformed to its center side by a pressing protrusion 26 of the webbing belt 12 to raise the internal pressure of the bag-like member 18 according to the tensile force Ft. Since the amount of change in the internal pressure of the bag-like member 18 does not depend on the direction of the tensile force Ft but corresponds to only the size of the tensile force Ft, it is possible to precisely detect the tensile force Ft by detecting changes in the internal pressure by a pressure sensor 24.
