Abstract:
The support bearing (10) is made as a one-piece unit. It consists of an outer flange (11) connected to the housing (2), a cardan ring (12), and an inner bearing sleeve (13) holding the bearing (3). A circumferential slot (14,15) is formed between cardan ring and outer flange, and between ring and bearing sleeve. The ring is connected to sleeve and flange via inner and outer webs, which bridge the slots. A ring gap (25) formed between bearing sleeve and housing is axially offset relative to the cardan ring. Outer flange and housing have corresponding centring surfaces (22,23), concentric to the bearing/s.
