To provide a communication apparatus that can surely transmit and receive prescribed information within a prescribed period when a prescribed condition is met when transmitting and receiving the information by radio, by using a single channel for which a radio communication period is assigned to each communication apparatus on a time-division basis.

The communication apparatus has a UWB transmitting-receiving section 41 which performs transmission and reception by using the single channel for which a communication frame is assigned to each communication apparatus on a time-division basis, and a microcomputer 44 which specifies an exclusive reception frame assigned to the channel based on a received control slot, and controls the transmitting-receiving section 41 to perform reception or to wait for reception in the other situation than an emergency situation and to notify emergency when the emergency situation occurs.
