The curved face generation system firstly designates a characteristic line to be reflected on a generated curved surface shape from among the closed curved line row when generating the curved surface having the closed curved line row of the shape not being the projected rectangle on the boundary, and determines a cross section reference curved line based on the characteristic line, makes it the cross section reference curved line as it is when the characteristic line is a planar curved line, determines one plane passing both the ends of the characteristic line when the characteristic line is not a planar curved line, and makes a curved line projecting the characteristic line on the plane the cross section reference curved line. Next, the curved surface generation system generates a cross section curved line group shaping the curved surface shape from among the other curved line except for the characteristic line and the cross section reference curved line out of the curved lines constituting the closed curved line row, and generates the curved surface shape by skinning processing from the cross section curved line group.
