Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make irradiation from the rear side of a photodetector possible in assembling an optical receiving module by passive alignment mounting. SOLUTION: A recessed part 8 and a V-groove 9 is formed on the surface of a first Si base board 1 of this light receiving module, a second Si base board 2 is stuck to the surface of the first Si base board where the recessed part is formed, and a V-groove 10 beveled at the tip end is extendedly provided on the surface oppositely facing the first Si base board 1. An optical fiber 4 is held between the V-grooves 9, 10. A reflection film 5 is formed on the beveled surface at the tip end of the V-groove 10 and converts the optical path of light receiving from the optical fiber 4 in the vertical direction. A rear face irradiating type photodetector 3 is flip-tip-mounted on the bottom surface of the recessed part 8 and receives light from the reflection film 5.
