Abstract:
To obtain a recording and reproducing apparatus which is capable of recording and reproducing as well as transmitting information effectively by a simple system and easily selecting required channel information, and which supports multi-channel broadcasting.
The second time data compatible with the recording and reproducing apparatus is generated on the basis of the first time data added on in advance. Then, a transport packet and the second time data to be added on to the transport packet are recorded on a prescribed recording medium.
