Abstract:
To provide a recorder/eraser capable of performing erasing processing with no possibility that others reproduce data, for example, when the confidential data are recorded on a write-once recording medium.
Data to be recorded encrypted by an encryption processing part 111 on the basis of key data generated by a key generating part 110 are recorded in an unrecorded part of an optical disk 101 read from a pickup part 103 that can distinguish a recorded part of the optical disk 101 from the unrecorded part. In addition, the key data generated by the key generating part 110 are recorded on the optical disk 101 with unrecorded parts provided before and after the key data.
