To prevent a state from being generated that a new electric automobile cannot be charged, by properly determining a capacitor that performs charging from an external power supply and a capacitor that performs discharging to an electric automobile among a plurality of capacitors at a charging stand.
The charging stand 1 comprises a plurality of the capacitors 23 charged by the external power supply 2, a capacitor detector 24 that detects a charging capacity charged by the capacitors 23, a capacitor charger 21 that charges the capacitors 23 and an external power supply connector 22, and a vehicle side connector 25 that discharges the capacitor 23 and a vehicle charger 26. In the charging stand 1, the capacitor 23 smallest in charging capacity excluding the capacitor 23 in charging and the capacitor 23 in discharging is selected by a charging control unit 28 before charging power to a vehicle battery 12 mounted to the electric automobile 10, and the vehicle battery 12 is charged by discharging the selected capacitor 23.
