Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a composite structure O-ring of high quality at a low cost, while maintaining properties of a perfluoroelastomer material or a fluoroelastomer material with superior heat resistance and chemical resistance. SOLUTION: In this producing method of the composite structure O-ring, an outer layer part tightly covering a surface of a code shaped (rod shaped) inner layer part which becomes a core member is constituted by the perfluoroelastomer material or the fluoroelastomer material. The inner layer part is shaped in a form of the code, and the outer layer part is formed in a shape of a tube. The inner layer part is inserted into the outer layer part while a compressed fluid is fed in an inside space of the outer layer part, and a composite structure material having a length equivalent to the length of the desired O-ring is obtained. The both ends of the composite structure material are connected so that the composite structure material is formed in a shape of an O-ring. Then, the composite structure material is set in an O-ring mold, and is pressurized, heated and molded.
