To utilize detection result data obtained by a detection means for detecting a position, a direction, a posture, and movement by an application program which does not depend on a platform that a registered user can access.
When the application program is downloaded to a portable telephone and is executed, its application execution environment is first activated, and in the environment, the application program is operated. The activated application program sends an acquisition request of acceleration data and when a telephone set platform receives it, the acceleration data detected by an acceleration sensor provided with the portable telephone are transferred to the application program. Thus, processing which utilizes the acceleration data can be performed in the application program.
