Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an image of a relation between a parking area and a vehicle to support an parking operation for a driver, even when a camera and a monitor are not equipped. SOLUTION: A present position of an own vehicle on an image 31 of the target parking area is detected based on the image where the target parking area is image-picked up by an image pick-up means mounted on the vehicle, and an image where a vehicle advancing direction is image-picked up by the image pick-up means mounted on the vehicle, an own vehicle image 32 is superposedly composed in the present position of the own vehicle on the image 31 of the target parking area to be displayed. The driver can grasp easily the positional relation between a circumference difficult in visual confirmation in a rear side of the own vehicle and the own vehicle even when approached retreatingly into the parking area where the camera and the monitor are not equipped, so as to support the parking operation for the driver.
