To provide a surface-treated metallic sheet having more improved corrosion resistance, coating suitability and workability (blackening resistance) and suitably usable for application requiring electrical conductivity, and further to provide a surface-treated metallic sheet having improved tape peeling resistance regarded as a problem particularly in a nonchromate-treated galvanized steel sheet.
The surface-treated metallic sheet is obtained by forming a resin film on a metallic sheet. The resin film is formed of a composition for film formation comprising a carboxyl group-containing polyurethane resin, a silane coupling agent and silica particles. The polyurethane resin is obtained by bringing a specified urethane prepolymer into chain extension reaction with a chain extender. Further, substrate treatment with a specified composition is performed to improve its tape peeling resistance.
