To provide a server device with an electronic bulletin board function optimum for a system using a digital composite machine or a scanner, capable of dealing with an image similarly to a text without auxiliarily dealing with the image.

When a user selects text data and image data inside a thread and directs 'storage', a control part 31 transmits identification information about a file of the text data and a file of the image data included in the whole selected thread to a file composition part 38, and directs the creation of a PDF file including the whole data. The file composition part 38 reads the corresponding image data and text data file from an image storage part 32, a difference image storage part 33 and a comment storage part 34 on the basis of the identification information transmitted from the control part 31 to create the PDF file. The control part 31 transmits the created PDF file to a personal computer, so that the transmitted PDF file is stored in a designated storage destination in the personal computer.
