Abstract:

To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine capable of improving performance at a time of restart of an engine and inhibiting deterioration of exhaust emission component in idling stop control.

In the control device for the internal combustion engine provided with an idling stop control device 3 executing idling stop in which the engine 7 is stopped by stopping fuel injection 8 simultaneously with stop of a self vehicle and electronically controlling opening of a throttle valve 4, fuel injection and ignition 9 of the engine 7 according to accelerator operation during re-start of the engine 7, the idling stop control device 3 rotates the engine 7 by a motor 14 and simultaneously controls the opening of the throttle valve 4 to full open under condition where fuel injection 8 is stopped irrespective of opening of the throttle valve 4 by accelerator operation during the engine 7 is rotated by the motor 14 in restart of the engine 7 from an idling stop condition.
