To simultaneously realize (1)efficient improvement of white blood cell removability and (2) efficient collection of blood in pressuring and filtering a liquid containing white blood cells such as the blood with a white blood cell removing filter.
The subject method for filtering the liquid containing white blood cells makes the liquid containing white blood cells flow to the white blood cell removing filter consisting of a flexible container having an entrance and exit and a sheet-like white blood cell removing filter material while restraining the thickness of the filter with volume restraining plates arranged at the outside of the entrance side and the exit side of the flexible container. The method adjusts the intervals between the volume restraining plates and the flow rate of the liquid containing the white blood cells.
