Abstract:
To largely improve critical power characteristic in fuel rods at the outer peripheral part of the fuel assembly.
A channel box comprises four corner members and four side plates and is configured by assembling them. A plurality of flow trippers which have edge-shaped end portions and extend horizontally, are provided inside the channel box. The flow tripper has a taper according to the number and height of spacers. The taper is tilted upwardly at the lower end of the spacer and has a flow passage area, which decreases in size from the upstream to the downstream.
