Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase change type optical information recording medium with excellent light transmissivity and excellent recording sensitivity that enables high-speed recording and reproducing to respective recording layers successively constituted from a light irradiation side in a multi-layered phase change type optical information recording medium for high density recording. SOLUTION: For this phase change type optical information recording medium, a first recording layer 3 and a second recording layer 7 are provided successively from a light incident side in a constitution layer on a substrate 1 and the first recording layer and the second recording layer are respectively held between a light incident side protective layer 2 and a light emission side protective layer 8. The first recording layer is composed of composition containing at least Sb elements and The elements and the light emission side protective layer of the first recording layer is a metallic oxide whose fusing point is 1100 K or higher and light transmissivity is 30% or higher. Thus, the light transmissivity and the recording sensitivity are improved.
