Abstract:
To provide a method for the hydrophilization treatment of a polyester cloth, capable of providing the cloth with excellent water/moisture absorbency in a short processing time, enabling continuous processing in high processing efficiency and giving durable hydrophilic nature.
A polyester cloth is impregnated with a processing liquid containing (A) a water-soluble urethane resin having ≥2 reactive vinyl groups and (B) a hydrophilic polyalkylene-added vinyl monomer, and the cloth is heat-treated with steam to form a highly durable hydrophilic coating film on the surface layer of the polyester cloth and achieve the hydrophilization treatment of the polyester cloth.
