Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a coated granular fertilizer excellent in the dynamic strength of the coating film, suppressing the early elution of the fertilizer and capable of controlling the elution of the fertilizer over a long period by coating the fertilizer with the coating film comprising a polyolefin and/or a petroleum wax, and ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and/or an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer. SOLUTION: This coated fertilizer is obtained by coating a granular fertilizer with a degradable coating film which comprises (A) 10-93.99 wt.% of a polyolefin having a weight-average mol.wt. of 300-10,000 and/or a petroleum wax, (B) 1-60 wt.% of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and/or an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer having a weight-average mol.wt. of >=20,000, a weight-average mol.wt./ number-average mol.wt. ratio of 1-3 and a density of 0.8-0.9 g/cm<3> , and (C) 5-80 wt.% of an inorganic filter and/or (D) 0.01-20 wt.% of a surfactant. The weight ratio of the component B/the component A is 0.01-2.0. The weight ratio of the coating film to the coated granular fertilizer is preferably 1-50 wt.%.
