Abstract:

To permit a user to efficiently and precisely acquire an encoding condition of contents whatever contents they are.

In a server device PSV, a content list collection part 31 collects a list of the individual contents being objects of distribution from contents distribution servers CSV1 to CSVn on a network. An analysis part 33 detects the encoding conditions for the individual contents from the list and stores them in a database 34. The contents processed again on the basis of the difference between the encoding condition and a use condition on the desired contents or the encoding conditions or the difference of them are transmitted to a client terminal being a request source from a data transmission part 35 in accordance with requests from client terminals MT1 to MTm.
