To provide an information resource server by which a changed information resource designator is easily obtained without conducting special operation such as registration operation by a user even when the information resource designator such as a URL is changed.

The information resource server stores a retrieval expression used for an information resource retrieval request from a plurality of client terminals accessing the information resource server and the information resource designator specified by the retrieval expression in the information resource server and is used for obtaining other information resource designator substituted for the information resource designator accessing no information resource by using the stored data.
