To provide an inspection device of a cylindrical solid electrolyte type fuel cell capable of remarkably reducing an inspection time and manhours to reduce a cost.
This inspection device of a cylindrical solid electrolyte type fuel cell is used for inspecting performance of a cell tube 32 composed by connecting, through inter-connectors, a plurality of unit cells each composed by forming an air electrode, an electrolyte and a fuel electrode on a base tube at high temperature. The inspection device is equipped with: a continuous furnace 31 set in a temperature raising part, a high temperature keeping part and a temperature lowering part in that order from the entrance side; a support part 33 for supporting the upper end of the cell tube 32; and a carrying means 34 for carrying the support part 33; and is characterized by that a fuel supply part to the cell tube 32 and a fuel exhaust part therefrom are set at ordinary temperature; the cell tube 32 is moved to execute performance inspection of the cell tube 32 in the high temperature keeping part; and stress is imposed on the lower part of the cell tube to execute strength screening inspection at high temperature.
