Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin processing apparatus capable of directly dispensing counterfeit coins upon the operation of a return lever after the counterfeit coins inserted therein are accepted as normal coins, and of being rapidly operated for dispensing coins and for storing them, using a simple arrangement. SOLUTION: The coin processing apparatus has a temporary retaining unit for temporarily retaining a particular discrimination of coins, with the temporary retaining unit including a coin retaining part for retaining coins, a spiral body by which each coin retained in the coin retaining part is locked between pitches, and a drive for driving the spiral body for rotation. To dispense or store particular discrimination of coins, the spiral body is rotated so that the coins stored in the coin retaining part are sent to a return passage or a change storage cylinder which stores the particular discrimination coins.
