Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas detector which enables safe and accurate detection of any gas leak without relying on olfaction and moreover, allows the detection efficiently and quickly as assembly work on a production line. SOLUTION: The gas detector 1 is provided with a housing part 4a to house an object to be inspected, a gas sensor part 2 which communicates with the housing part and having a detection part for detecting any gas leak of the object and an exhaust path 6 and an air suction path 7 communicating with the gas sensor part. It also has a heating means to burn and transpire components of a gas covering a detection part of the gas sensor part by heating when the gas in the housing part is sucked by an exhaust means and detected by the gas sensor part, a cooling/removing means to cool the detection part of the gas sensor part by feeding air by the air suction means after the end of the burning/transpiring treatment while removing the matter covering it and a control means to drive or control the heating means and the cooling/ removing means.
