Abstract:

To provide a resin composition for producing a fuel cell separator, the resin composition being capable of suppressing a reduction in moldability and degradation in electric characteristics of the fuel cell separator molded using the resin composition.

The resin composition contains a thermosetting resin and graphite particles. The proportion of the graphite particle content in the entire resin composition is within a range of 60% to 90% by weight. The graphite particles have a mean particle diameter of 40 to 60 μm, and the proportion of the graphite particles 100 μm or less in diameter in the cumulative particle size distribution is within a range of 85 to 100 cumulative percent. Alternatively, the graphite particles have a mean particle diameter of equal to or greater than 20 μm and smaller than 40 μm, and the proportion of the particles 100 μm or less in diameter in the cumulative particle size distribution is within a range of 95 to 100 cumulative percent.
