Abstract:

To shorten the time elapsing after receiving a resource insurance request before responding thereto in a resource management device.

An index of remaining quantity of resource indicative of the fact whether the remaining quantity of available resources exceeds a preset threshold or not for each communication path is held in a database section 13. If the index indicates that the remaining quantity of resources exceeds the threshold when a resource insurance request message is received, a section 123 for judging whether resource can be insured or not judges that the resource can be insured.
