Abstract:
Outer surface of rubber blanket cylinder (10) has air holes or air jets (14) and air supply with through-flow limiter to alter air flow according to axial position of rubber blanket (12) to prevent blanket sticking to cylinder. Limiter creates eddy if opening is not covered by print sleeve. Additional row of air holes or air jets (16) is provided, axially arranged between first row (14), nearer to drive side, to help in putting blanket on and taking off blanket. Independent claim for method of axially positioning or displacing rubber blanket sleeve on cylinder.
