To make it unnecessary for a user to execute readjustment by automatically executing the calibration of a pointing device when the change of an image display position or an enlargement rate or the change of keystone correction has been executed.

This display device for displaying an image to be outputted by an image outputting device on a picture is provided with an instructed position detecting means for detecting the position instructed on the picture and a control means for executing a function for converting the instructed position detected by the instructed position detecting means into coordinates on the image, and for outputting the conversion result to the image outputting device. The arithmetic means executes the change of the function when the change of the display state of the image on the image has been executed.
