To provide a method for producing a milk substitute composition for young livestock comprising milk-substitute powdery oil and fat composition formed in a granular state and excellent in caking resistance, solubility in water or warm water, and emulsifying stability in spite of containing much vegetable oil and fat.
The method for producing a milk substitute composition for young livestock comprises the following process: spraying water to milk substitute raw material comprising 30-60 wt.% of milk protein raw material, 10-60 wt.% of powdery oil and fat where the vegetable oil and fat content in the oil and fat raw material is 40-70 wt.%, other saccharides, minerals, vitamins and an emulsifier to carry out fluidized bed granulation so as to obtain the granular milk-substitute composition for young livestock excellent in caking resistance, solubility in water or warm water, and emulsifying stability in spite of using the vegetable oil and fat. Fig. 1 is a microphotograph showing appearances of the milk substitute composition and a comparison sample.
