Abstract:
To provide an optical fiber strand having good fatigue resistance.
This optical fiber strand (1) is obtained by forming a primary-coated layer (3) and a secondary-coated layer (4) both comprising an ultraviolet curing resin composition on a bare optical fiber (2). In this case, the resin composition forming the primary-coated layer (3) contains 0.01-5 mass% of a silane coupling agent, the organofunctional group of which is at least one of acryl and methacryl.
