Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new starting method of a fuel cell power generating equipment disusing a burner to heat a catalyst at a carbon monoxide removing device, making the temperature of the catalyst layer of the carbon monoxide removing device rise up to the reaction temperature within a short time. SOLUTION: For the starting method of the fuel cell power generating equipment comprising a carbon monoxide removing device having at least a reforming device and a carbon monoxide denaturing device, a fuel cell, and a vapor generator, the catalyst temperature of the carbon monoxide denaturing device is risen up to the reaction temperature by supplying a mixed gas of nitrogen gas and air to the carbon monoxide denaturing device, or in the case that the carbon monoxide removing device is equipped with a carbon monoxide remover, the gas from the carbon monoxide denaturing device is introduced into the carbon monoxide remover, and the catalyst layer temperature is risen up to the reaction temperature.
