Abstract:

To provide a hub hole machining method of an automotive wheel, shaving an inner peripheral surface of a hub hole flange, and easily expanding an opening diameter of a hub hole to specified size.

After holding an outside shape of the hub flange by a punching die 14, a denuding punch 19 equipped with a press-shaving portion 20 and a tilting portion 23 is pressed into the hub hole 3. A press-shaving process by the press-shaving portion 20 and an expanding process by the tilting portion 23 are successively conducted, thereby executing denuding machining for expanding the opening diameter A' of the hub hole 3. Therefore, the opening diameter A of the hub 3, expanded to the specified size, is easily and properly molded without changing the outside shape of the hub hole flange 4. This hub hole machining method can be applied to a case of manufacturing a wheel by increasing the wall thickness of a wheel disc 1 or a case of manufacturing a wheel corresponding to a different axle diameter.
