To provide a nonaqueous electrolytic solution secondary battery with a high energy density, having a high charging/discharging efficiency and showing a superior charging/discharging cycle, by suppressing decomposition of the electrolytic solution.

This battery comprises a negative electrode having a current collector and a coating film of an active material containing a noncarbon material capable of storing and releasing lithium formed on the current collector; a positive electrode capable of storing and releasing lithium; and an electrolytic solution in which a lithium salt is dissolved in a nonaqueous solvent. The electrolytic solution contains a chemical compound expressed in a general formula (I). In the formula (I), R1, R2and R3are hydrogen or optionally substituted alkyl groups, respectively, they are optionally identical or different one another, optionally independent substituents, respectively, and optionally wound in a ring by combining one another.
