User terminals TM1-TMn each have a presence information creating function 50. Using the presence information creating function 50, sensor information is obtained from a plurality of sensors S1-Sj provided outside the terminals and the conditions of the users or their terminals are determined on the basis of the sensor information obtained. Information showing the result of the determination is created. Of the pieces of information created, the piece of information designated by a preset privacy logic 540 is selected and presence information including only the selected piece of information is created. The presence information created is sent to a communication terminal owned by a person who shares it.
