To provide a compact exposure head and an image formation device using the same which is adapted to efficiently condense a luminous flux from each element of an organic EL array onto an image carrier such as a photoreceptor without causing crosstalk and with a sufficient resolution, by firmly fixing a ball lens corresponding to the element, and which has a sufficient mechanical strength to a maintenance work.
The exposure head has the array of organic EL elements arranged in the shape of at least one array of pixels on a long substrate 3. The ball lens is arranged at an alignment position corresponding to each of light emitting parts 2 of the organic EL elements at an emission side of the array of the organic EL elements. When the ball lens 10 has a diameter of D and a refractive index of n, a void between ball lenses 10 of not larger than a height from a face top of a face at the incidence side of the ball lens 10 to a distance of D(1-1/n
