To provide a document management method capable of dispensing with large volumes of storage area in a server, and to allow a customer to process a document by a user's terminal even when the server has problems, without constructing a system of large scale.
The user terminal J30 transmits the registration request of a user URI to a link server 10. The link server 10 creates a link information page corresponding to the user URI, and informs the URI of the link information page to the user terminal as a destination of the document. A user terminal A20 defines a unique document URI for the document, and transmits the link request of the document URI and the user URI requesting the distribution of the document to the link server 10. The link server 10 creates the link information page of the document URI, and additionally write the document URI to the link information page corresponding to the user URI of the distributing destination. The user terminal J30 confirms the additional write on the link of the distributed document by monitoring the self-link information page, and acquires the distributed document on the basis of the URI of the distributed document.
